For coverage of wide areas we recommend the Scan-360 radar.
The Scan-360 radar can detect vehicles and people at up to 200m in all directions (360 degree coverage). It can be mounted up to 8m high to see beyond perimeters and over obstructions with minimal blind spot underneath. It has camera slew-to-cue that intelligently controls up to four PTZ cameras. A number of straightforward settings are available to configure priority areas as well as areas on no interest to ignore. A map display plots the intruder position to give excellent situational awareness. Unlike some other sensors, the Scan-360 radar detects people and vehicles as they approach a perimeter instead of after the perimeter is breached.
A possible alternative is Scan-Integrated which is a Scan-360 radar combined with a PTZ camera.
For coverage along narrow perimeters we recommend the Super-Beam.
The Super-Beam radar has ultra-high detection probability over up to 400m. A very narrow detection zone is created between the two radars that are mounted at 1m height. Super-Beam will report the precise location of the intrusion and has camera slew-to-cue functionality a standard feature. There is an option for a passive “beacon” to replace one of the two active radar sensors, halving power consumption and simplify installation by eliminating power requirements at one of the two locations.
A possible alternative is the simpler Scan-Beam beam-break sensor that has only alarm on/off output and lacks camera control, “beacon” option or any target locating abilities.
For coverage of approach roads and between buildings we recommend the Scan-Sector.
Scan-Sector utilises a single radar to stare in one direction. Like Scan-360 it can be mounted high to see over obstacles and look beyond perimeters. It has camera slew-to-cue functionality to point the camera at any intruders within the 200m long field of view of the radar. Scan-Sector is a good option for narrow applications where the Super-Beam cannot be utilised.
