CCTV cameras cannot always be connected to their control centres using cables or optical fibres because the terrain precludes it, there is substantial water in the path or the cables are not secure from hostile attack or even vandalism. Even the charges or fees could preclude the use of cables.
Our solution: Microwave transmission
We have designed and manufactured a range of video transmission equipment operating from 1 to 60 GHz. The primary application for these products is in CCTV systems when there is no cable available to transmit the video and data. However, the equipment has been used by customers around the world for many other applications, including broadcast, notably the BBC, as well as military systems for the UK and other NATO countries.
Key benefits

Guaranteed interference free
Our fixed analogue and digital links have the ability to operate in the licenced or protected bands, so we can guarantee interference free operation.

Highest reliability
All our equipment is designed to the highest professional standards and has been proven for operation in the harshest and in the most rugged of environments. Both military and commercial customers use the same systems. Careful attention to detail allows the equipment to be used with the highest reliability in some of the hottest to some of the coldest places in the world. Production equipment is subjected to 100% environmental testing involving temperature cycling.

Analogue and digital versions
Our analogue equipment provides the highest possible video quality with no latency – they are truly real-time. All our links carry one or two-way telemetry channels for camera control purposes. Our digital video links provide broadcast quality by using the Digital Video Broadcast – Terrestrial (DVB-T) standard, similar to that employed by the world’s TV broadcasters.
