Internet data services cannot always be connected using copper cables or fibre-optics because of the unpassable terrain, the presence of water in the path, vulnerability or even price. For Internet Service Providers (ISPs) this presents a major problem, especially for the “last mile”.
Our solution
Our broadband wireless systems enable high speed Internet connectivity to subscribers over 10 km from a base station. It is fully compatible with the international DOCSIS standard and therefore allows cable companies to extend their coverage well beyond the areas that have cables. It allows ISPs to provide services where there are no telephone communications. The equipment works with standard DOCSIS modems by simply substituting the cable with a bi-directional microwave data link that uses the same coaxial connections for plug-and-play operation.
Key benefits

International standards
Our system is based around the international DOCSIS standard. Instead of using our own modem, the system inputs and outputs are modulated DOCSIS signals. This makes our transmission solution integrate seamlessly with any DOCSIS network and also allows the use of standard modems. Because DOCSIS requires very precise frequency stability, we employ a unique processor-controlled network in the base stations to ensure that all the subscriber units can lock onto the signal automatically and stay locked to it whatever the environmental conditions.

Straightforward installation
The only requirement is to physically install the Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) on a building so it has direct line-of-sight to the base station and to connect the coaxial cable between the CPE and modem. There is no need to set up, configure or adjust anything on the equipment; the modem works the same as when a standard cable connection is in use. The subscriber units themselves are compact low-cost items that are connected with a single cable carrying the two-way data and DC power.

Guaranteed interference free
Our broadband wireless equipment operates in the 10.5 GHz licensed band, so we can guarantee interference free operation as these frequencies are not available for other equipment to use.
