Our radar products feature camera slew-to-cue functionality as standard. This means the radar will automatically point the camera at the area of interest without the need for any third party systems or human interaction.
The essential requirements are a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera that uses absolute positioning and ONVIF Profile S. Where possible we strongly suggest using a recommended camera partner to avoid any headaches. In our experience, some other camera manufacturers interpret the ONVIF specifications in unusual ways that can lead to strange issues. If in doubt, our compatibility checker can be run to check if a camera will operate correctly.
The free compatibility checker software runs on a PC. It simply communicates with the ONVIF camera to check it operates as expected. If any problems are encountered, the generated report can be sent to us for analysis. Often the problems are trivial and it may be possible for us to modify our product firmware to work with the new camera type. If you already have a camera that you wish to check then please contact us to request the free compatibility checker software download.
If you are yet to purchase a camera, we suggest you view our camera partners for recommended manufacturers.
