This compact, rugged and cost-effective equipment has been designed to allow the transmission of high quality, low latency I.P video and Ethernet data streams. A suite of equipment is available to match the various ranges, capacities and topologies required for integrated networks.

The high operating frequency band and the use of directional antennas enables the system to operate without the interference which so badly affects Wi-Fi and Wi-max systems operating in the largely saturated 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands. The high frequency band which is almost entirely unused, means that interference free operation can be confidently predicted for the foreseeable future.

The Ogier ESL2400 is based on the 802.11g wireless protocol but operates in the uncluttered 24GHz band. The equipment features data-rates up to 54Mbps and incorporates configurable features such as real-time data compression and packet bursting for enhanced throughput.

The equipment is designed for simple use and ease of installation and can be configured for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint use. For point-to-point links the operating range is up to 3km, but can be extended further if dish antennas are selected. Point-to-multipoint configurations use sector antennas at the access points and provide an operating range of up to 1.5km, again further if dish antennas are specified. In areas with a number of cameras within a 90-degree sector, it provides a truly cost effective solution. For large numbers of cameras, or with wider coverage exceeding 90 degrees, further sector access points can be installed.
